CostumesEvery single person in a film has been costumed by the costume department. Costumes can help the audience follow character connections, like husband and wife or track a person in a crowd simply because they are wearing RED. Costumers analyze and understandthe script, collaborating with the director about the vision for the film, researching the look and coordinating with the other departments to make sure that the decided look lines up with what was discussed with the director.

Sound Design
For our purposes with final, sound design is the overall VOLUME of the sound (music, sound fx, dialogue, or chosen silence) and everything but dialogue and music. Foley Art give emphasis to sounds of objects, props, weapons, environments that enhance the setting, and allows audience to forget they are watching a movie, but are really there. All these sounds are added, after the film is edited. You don't worry about hearing footsteps or keys jingling when you are FILMING on the set/location with the actors, only the dialogue.
